• Vaccinations. No cat can be accepted without a valid and up–to-date Vaccination Record. Details of vaccinations to be provided at the time of booking to ensure that the vaccinations have been administered in line with our Cattery policy. Please note, vets can differ on degrees of flexibility, so please check with us.
• Carrier. Please transport your cat to and from Cedar Lodge Cattery in a secure cat carrier. This should be left with us whilst your cat is in our care.
• Neutering. Unneutered cats above the age of 6 months cannot be accepted.
• Fleas and Worms. Please ensure that your cat has been recently treated for fleas and worms. Should the need arise, and at the discretion of Cedar Lodge Cattery, any costs of medication and time incurred to be reimbursed to Cedar Lodge Cattery.
• Accommodation Sharing. Only cats from the same household will be boarded together, however, we reserve the right to separate cats if considered to be in the cats’ best interests and relevant suite charges will apply.
• Food. Your cat’s own food should be provided for the duration of their stay at Cedar Lodge Cattery to minimise change and possible digestive upsets. Please ensure that any specific dietary needs or restrictions are highlighted for all visits. Any fresh (or frozen) meat/fish/poultry requirements will incur an additional charge and must be agreed in advance of your cat’s stay with us.
• Medication/Treatments. If your cat requires the administration of medication or special requirements during it’s stay, these need to be discussed in advance of the stay, and will incur an additional charge.
• Veterinary Care. If your cat requires veterinary treatment whilst in our care, all reasonable efforts will be taken to consult with you with you prior to attending a vet. If possible and reasonable, your cat’s to your own veterinary surgeon will be used. However, if for any reason, this is not possible, your cat will be taken to a qualified veterinary surgeon and requested to consult with your own vet if available/necessary. Any costs incurred, as well as the additional time incurred to be reimbursed by the cats owner.
• Cancellation to a booking. During peak season, 21 days notice from the 1st day of booking is required to cancel a booking free of charge. Off peak notice is 7 days from the 1st day of booking. If less notice than the above is provided, at the discretion of Cedar Lodge Cattery, a cancellation fee will apply ranging from the minimum charge applicable, up to the full charge for booking made. Note: peak season is May to September inclusive, the 2 weeks around Easter and Christmas, school mid-term breaks and all Bank Holiday weekends. All other times are considered off-peak.
• Amendments to a booking. All days booked will be charged for in full, despite late arrival or early collection. Changes made with the appropriate notice of 21 days (Peak season) or 7 days (Off-peak) will be free of charge.
• Out of hours Exceptions. Opening hours for drop offs and collections are necessary for the smooth operation of the cattery. Any exceptions to the current opening hours would need to be agreed in advance and will incur an additional charge.
