Cedar Lodge Cattery is based at the home of John and Tania Reardon, which they share with their 4 children and extended family members including horses, ponies, dogs, cats, and budgies. Their home has been in John’s family for generations, but John only started breeding horses in the 1990s and kept horses at Cedar Lodge since 1998. All animals are part of the family.
John relied heavily on the input and support of family members like his niece, Fiona, a vet, who is always on hand with advice and backup support. John's other niece Lisa, has qualifications in Animal Care & Animal Management, with experience as a Veterinary Nurse, and with the rest of the family, has a particular love for cats.
The idea of Cedar Lodge Cattery arose from the strong attachment to animals, with a desire to share the benefit of space in an idyllic country setting with like-minded people, who put the care of their pets before themselves!
We opened our cattery at the beginning of April 2018 and since then, have been adding to our Gallery of photos of the cattery and its many lovely guests. Please take a look through our gallery to see our purpose-built cattery; as genuine animal lovers have put the well-being of the cat at the heart of our development.
